How to join an Erasmus+ project from North Macedonia
We are a youth organisation in Bitola. Since March 2024 our people have taken part in or helped run thirteen Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps projects in four countries.
What is the difference between a youth exchange and a training course?
A youth exchange is for young people. A training course is for people already involved in youth work, so the call usually asks for some experience with young people.
Of the thirteen projects up to November 2025, nine were training courses, three were youth exchanges and one was a seminar. If you have not worked with young people before, the youth exchanges are the ones to watch for.
Who can apply for an Erasmus+ project?
We send participants from North Macedonia. Beyond that, there is no single answer.
Every call names its own age range, dates, topic and participant profile, and they differ from project to project. Read the call before you apply, because that is the only place the real requirements are written.
One real example. For Feel It to Heal It, a training course in Šibenik in November 2025, participants had to be at least 18 and have experience working with young people, and each partner organisation was asked to send three people.
What does it cost to take part?
What a project covers is written in that project's own call.
On Feel It to Heal It, participants were reimbursed for their travel according to the Erasmus+ Distance Calculator, and the project followed the Erasmus+ guidelines for the mobility. Participants stayed at a hostel in the centre of Šibenik.
How long does a project last, and where?
The thirteen projects up to November 2025 lasted between five and twelve days.
Nine of them were in Šibenik in Croatia, two in Poland (Wieleń and Gołanice), one in Romania (Cristuru Secuiesc) and one in France (Biarritz). All of them are listed with their dates and town on our projects page.
How do you apply?
When a call is open it is on our home page, with a button that opens the form for that project. If a call has a deadline, it is shown there.
When nothing is open, the home page says so. A project runs when a partner somewhere in Europe has one to run.
What is Youthpass?
Youthpass is a certificate that records what you did and what you learned during an Erasmus+ project. Participants on Feel It to Heal It received one at the end of the training.
